METRO NZ, November 2006

When Metro visited we enjoyed a late afternoon massage in our room with a local therapist (...a yoga instructor is also on call) before joining owner Heather Forsman and other couples fireside in the main lodge for a pre-dinner drink. We drank a glass of their excellent pinot gris and gobbled home-made pate, Puhoi cheeses and local breads and olive oil made from the Forsman's olive trees. Takatu also serves a memorable breakfast of no fewer than three courses.

...the four private guest rooms were exceptionally well-appointed with a super-king bed with luxurious sheets, a bathroom with a double-bath, black out curtains, a stock of the latest magazines...and no TV (an LCD TV is available by request). Not that we missed it as we dived between bed and bath until reluctantly leaving the next day.
